I Love Ira
I saw the live broadcast of This American Life last night, and it was one of the best evenings I’ve had in a long time. I adore Ira Glass (Baltimore native like me!) and I have been a fan of the weekend radio show for years. I don’t often get to hear the radio show in real time, and typically “catch up” on roadtrips. That’s actually one of my favorite parts of a long drive — sharing hours with Ira and hearing stories from amazing people in this country.
Last night’s show did not disappoint. From tried and true favorites like David Sedaris and David Rakoff, to new-to-me folks like Tig Notaro, it was a great 2+ hours. I don’t want to share too much as there is a rebroadcast playing in theatres on Tuesday. If you didn’t get to see it last night, run, go buy tickets for Tuesday. You’ll love seeing Ira and the crew.
Are you a This American Life fan? Did you see the show last night?
