Wash It All Away

me tubWash it all away,
The silence, the disappointment, the heartache.
Let the water soften your skin,
Loosen the hardened pieces of pain that attached themselves to you.
Allow the silky soap to glide over your body,
Soothe the raw wounds you garnered from opening your heart.
You owe that much, and so very much more, to yourself,
To not get hardened, to not turn back.
You will go back into battle with love as your ammunition.
You are a Love Warrior and you will fight on.
But first, bathe…

There are times I wish it was that easy, to just wash it away, to slip into the water and let it hold you, to surround you and protect you. The raw emotion that engulfs you as you face another lesson, reminding yourself to let yourself greive so you can fill the emptiness with love. We forget to love ourselves, we forget we have the love of friends to help us wash it away. Bathe in the beauty of who you are becoming. Each day we let go of more hardness, to soften, to heal, to rise, to remember how far we have come, to wash it away, to love our journey for it makes us who we are. I feel all of your words, your pain, we are love warriors and we will rise above this with love and gratitude. Today is a new day, love this day, your friends, but most importantly yourself.

  3. This is so beautiful…I love that you’re sharing your journey…and so true…you will fight on!

Like hitting the reset button, and something I think that we all need to do once in a while.
I think this is such a wonderfully creative image, and so perfect for your words here.
